How is everyone doing? Today a thought came to mind of a new exercise we could do during this " world opportunity" we are going through. I titled it: Good, better, best - thoughts.
I'm not sure about you but I am naturally a pretty positive thinker, however when I think a negative thought ooh boy it can wear me down. So I started a journal page in my "Evernote app" ( such an amazing app)
My purpose for this journal page is that whenever I think a negative thought to write it down & to then look at a positive aspect in that negative thought and write that down and to then look at something I can appreciate about this process and then write that down.
See an example below:
1. Ugh I am late for work and look at this traffic slowing me down, move people I am on a clock.
2. What is important here is that: I reach at work safe. This gives me an opportunity to call my Boss and let her/him know that I am on the way, however will not make it for 9 am.
3 I will arrive safe at work and my communication with my boss is so good. Due to the heavy traffic I had a change to listen to motivational videos in the car, I feel so great and motivated, I am thankful for this perfect day.
You might need to do this several times as the same negative thoughts usually surface back due to habit, however this will create a change in thought pattern and will have you appreciate life more. And this in turn will help you attract more appreciative moments in your life. The power of appreciation changes lifes.
